TCBY’s franchisee selection process has been developed to assist you and our organization in making an educated and informed decision about the potential of a healthy, profitable and long-term relationship. Our proven franchise system works best when combining our superior skills and capabilities with passionate, driven and energetic franchisees. Our goal during this discovery process is to help you understand our goals and vision and ensure we have alignment with yours.

TCBY’s franchisee selection process is generally a four to six week process that adheres to the general process that follows:.

INITIAL CONTACT

Whenever you contact us, via email, web site, telephone or fax, you will receive a call from our franchising manager. This call serves as an introductory call to provide you a general overview of TCBY®, our franchising process, and the additional steps that need to be completed to be considered for a TCBY franchise.

FRANCHISE APPLICATION

TCBY’s receipt of your application signals the start of your discovery of our franchise opportunity. Qualified applicants will have an interview scheduled with a franchise development manager.

INTERVIEW

Qualified applicants will go through an hour long interview with a franchise development manager that is designed to provide an in-depth explanation of our concept and opportunity as well as to understand if the goals and vision of both the organization and the potential franchisee are aligned. You will learn about our industry, TCBY’s attributes and competitive advantages and your role as a franchise owner.

FDD REVIEW

Your franchise development manager will review TCBY’s FDD with you, explain how to best utilize the document to obtain the information you may want and answer any questions you may have.

SITE SELECTION AND STORE DEVELOPMENT

A discussion about TCBY’s site selection and approval process, site layout and design, construction, and training programs. It covers everything you need to know to get your store open and operating.

FRANCHISEE PHONE CALLS

At this point you are free to speak with TCBY franchisees about their own experiences to help you better understand the business and the critical aspects of running a TCBY® store.

DECISION DAY

This is the day that we will both make a decision about moving forward with a franchise relationship. If you are awarded a franchise, we will finalize the relationship with the execution of our franchise agreement and begin the process of sight selection.
